Welcome to Jessica's Hope. This blog is designed to keep friends and family up to date on Jessica's journey with cancer. In all of this we have to always remember, just as Jessica is doing, that Christ is our ultimate hope. He is the sole reason that we live. To Him belong all glory and honor.

The Power of Words

"Dr. B" took Dr. A's place for the next week. He is a very nice and quiet man who seems to struggle to express himself in words. On his last day of working with Jessica, he asked Jessica's husband privately about his religious background. He told Dr. B that he and his family believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and desired to glorify God by being faithful in this trial and by showing the love of Christ to as many people as possible. The doctor thought for a minute then said, "If you get twenty religious groups into a building and put a bunch of words together into statements, then you can get all twenty groups to agree on those words. But you can't get one of those groups to live out those words. But you, your Wife, her parents -- you live the words. I want you to pray for me that I understand the words of the Bible."

  4. Clint and Jessica,
You are true heroes of our faith. We heard of your story through Jake and Hillary Forrest. Jake is my wife's cousin.

Please know that there are believers here in Iraq and back hime in NY praying that our Mighty God would be glorified and for strength and courage for your family.

You've been a huge blessing for me. Thank you for being faithful.

    Love,
    Kevin Conklin
