Waiting with expectation for the good and miraculous things God will unfold.
Welcome to Jessica's Hope. This blog is designed to keep friends and family up to date on Jessica's journey with cancer. In all of this we have to always remember, just as Jessica is doing, that Christ is our ultimate hope. He is the sole reason that we live. To Him belong all glory and honor.

For those who would like to give ...
A fund has been set up exclusively for the medical bills and extra care Little Jessi needs and is going to need. If anyone wishes to give, the fund account is through Wachovia/WellsFargo.
Jessica Council is a 30 year old wife and a mother of two children. She is hospitalized with stage 4 terminal cancer. Chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery are not options for curing. Currently, she must breathe with the assistance of a ventilator. Although, she is unable to move around much, she maintains a cheerful spirit which continuously affects the hospital staff who care for her. Jessica has constantly requested prayer for two things: that she be faithful and glorify God.
Her husband requests that all family, friends, acquaintances and readers of this blog pray specifically for her healing before the eyes of all who have given her no hope in order that God may be exalted and His great Name not be questioned. He confesses that his motives are mixed because he wants to grow old with his Wife; however, through this situation both Jessica and her husband have learned to love God before each other and desire Jesus' glory above their own personal desires, no matter how much it may hurt.
Please pray for the doctors, nurses, and lab, respiratory, and housekeeping staff see Jesus in our family and either be saved or love Him more.
Please pray for endurance and wisdom as we wait and make what decisions we can.
A Note from Jessica's husband:
Please love your husband or wife and do not take them for granted. For those who entertain thoughts of being "free" again, know that it is not what you think. You may even imagine all the "great" things you can do for God if you were single, but it's a lie. Marriage is a picture of Jesus and His bride the Church (Eph. 5). And if that be the case, then there is no greater thing you will ever do for God than love your spouse.
To all who have sent cards, notes, gift cards, money, food, and even advice, thank you. There is no possible way we could ever remember or thank personally everyone who has helped us. Your love for Jesus and His people are evidence of your love for God (I John). To all who pray because that may be all you are able to do, know that God hears and takes note and that praying is the greatest of all helps. We love you, even those whom we've never met.
